About this experience

Essaouira bay is one of Morocco's friendliest beach breaks: a long sandy bottom, easy waves and enough shelter to stay surfable when the swell picks up elsewhere. Lessons run from the school on the main beach, a short walk from the medina. Beginners start in shallow whitewater on a soft-top board with the instructor beside them in the water. Choose a group lesson (up to 4 students, grouped by level), a semi-private lesson for two, or one-to-one coaching, and book 2 to 10 hours depending on how far you want to go. When conditions suit, the team drives to nearby spots such as Sidi Kaouki, Tafedna or Imsouane.

Important Information

Prices are per student; book children as students too (from around 8 years old). Group lessons take up to 4 students per instructor, semi-private lessons 2, private lessons 1. The session time follows the tide. Bring swimwear, sunscreen and a towel. In the busy summer months, book a few weeks ahead.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before. 50% charge within 24 hours. If the wind or sea is not suitable, your session moves to another time or day, or you switch to another activity.
