Agadir City Tour
About this experience
Agadir is Morocco's most visited beach city, and this city tour gives you the full picture in one morning or afternoon. Your guide picks you up at your hotel and leads you through the city's most rewarding stops. Start at the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella, perched on a hilltop 236 metres above sea level, where panoramic views stretch across the bay, the beach, and the mountains beyond. The original Kasbah was destroyed in the 1960 earthquake; what remains is a moving monument and one of the best viewpoints in southern Morocco. From there, explore the Marina d'Agadir: a modern waterfront lined with restaurants, boutiques, and bobbing sailboats, perfect for a short stroll. Continue to Souk El Had, the city's largest traditional market where locals shop for spices, argan products, leather goods, and fresh produce. Note: the souk is closed on Mondays. The tour ends at La Médina d'Agadir (Coco Polizzi), a crafts village built from 1992 by Coco Polizzi using traditional techniques and local stone. Its narrow alleys, mosaic walls, and craft workshops make it one of Agadir's most distinctive cultural stops. All transport is by air-conditioned vehicle, and the guide speaks English and French. The tour runs every day; on Mondays, when Souk El Had is closed, we visit another market instead. Prefer to spend your time in the Medina? Choose the Medina only option: about 2 hours among the craft workshops of the medina built by Coco Polizzi, with the entry ticket and hotel pickup included. Want the best view of the bay? With the cable car option you ride up to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella by cable car instead of by road, tickets included, and then visit the Souk El Had and the Medina; the marina stop is left out. It takes about 4 hours.
